Coca cola



The Coca-Cola Company is a multinational american company, which specializes in manufacturing, retailing and marketing of nonalcoholic beverage concentrates and syrups. It was founded in 1886 by Asa Griggs Candler.
Its most famous product is Coca-Cola, a carbonated soft drink which was originally created as a medicine. According to its inventor, John Pemberton, it could be used as a cure for many diseases.
Besides the Coca-Cola beverage, the company offers more than 500 brands, which include, but not limited to, Sprite, Fanta, Dasani, Ciel and Powerade.
According the google adwords the UK researchers for the last 12 months visited in a stable way the coca cola company. After July there is a big increase by 40% of searches until the end of Octomber that may have  happened because they produced the zero coke and they started promoting it a lot. People got intrested from the new product and they look for more information about this special new product. 
The coca cola website faced a huge increase by 1400 researchers that have been visited it. However, there was a decrease after July which remained stable until Octomber by 200 researchers. That may have happened because the company remained in the same levels of promotions, they did not introduce any new product in order for people to get new information.
On the other hand, coca cola offers from  May started to increase rapidly the number of researchers. That may have been occured because the company may have started new offers in order to attract more customers.
 In compare with Greece from May the number of researchers started declining by around  5000 visitors. Then it started increasing again by 1000 visitors. Perhaps the company in that stage started to promote a new product in the early stage when it was not yet noticied by "everyone".
During the Christmas time the coca cola  starts to change slightly the labelling. As a result, people started getting intrested in from the middle of Octomber where the searches increase because the new packaging of the Christmas mood comes in stores. That remains until the period of December where there is a peak of the viewing. However, after the Christmas period the researchers are not intresting anymore for that labbeling, so that leads to a zero search from January to the end of September.
 

The main competitors of The Coca-Cola Company are PepsiCola and Dr Pepper Snapple Group, which produce Pepsi and RC Cola respectively, two cola-flavored soft drinks that are available around the globe. Pepsi's company has not got so huge changes in the number of visitors. From January until Octomber the number of researchers may differ only by 300 visitors. On the other hand Peppers, company remained  stable from the begging until around March. Around June it has a huge change in the number of researchers by  2400 researchers more because of a new product that may have been appeared. From June to July there is a decrease around 2000 researchers and from then on until Octomber it falls and remains to 1600.
Overall, Coca Cola has the strongest position in the market globally. The rest companies may not have so strong reputation so they have less intrested numbers of researchers. They may are main competitors with a huge difference. They still have big number of viewers and researchers since the product may be the same but with a diffrent quality, brand name such as the price which is a key aspect.

workshop 3

ARGOS EMAIL


I recently received an email from Argos which was about Christmas, in order to download the Chistmas home magazine. To be honest I never open such email's, I opened it by random. It really was not personalized, it looked like a website. In order to understand what this email was about I had to see the subline. Before seeing the title I thought that it was about downloading from the Appstore Argos page. The email was really confusing, not straight forward. From the other hand, images where really intresting, the looked really nice and brought to mind that Christmas is coming. Generally, it was really attractive. Companies actually know that in the whole world people celebrate Christmas, people start buying gifts so consumption goes up. Companies promote there products, keep making advertisements (by emails, tv, radios, websites) in order to bring more customers in. Argos also uses this way of promoting,but according to my beliefs this email was not so good( looked like a wesite, too confusing) since a small number of people receiving this email will spend time in order to understand for waht it is about.
